For families visiting the island and looking to take a break from the sun, but do something fun, check out the Coastal Discovery Museum’s Family Fun Day coming up tomorrow, Aug. 3 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. This event is a great way to experience South Carolina traditions and have a local cultural experience.
The event will feature a variety of activities, including live animals, food tastings, artist demonstrations and educational exhibits. You can dye with indigo, take part in an archaeological dig and learn how to cook a crab! And they have lots of yummy stuff to eat like local barbeque, gumbo and desserts. Make sure to check out the brand new butterfly enclosure while you are there!
